Coffee at any event should be welcoming — wedding, corporate offsite, private celebration. Alongside Events is designed so every guest — regardless of age, tech comfort, or ability — can enjoy the cart without ever needing to scan a QR code.
QR ordering is one path, not the path. Our signage templates never say “skip the line” or “faster with QR” — in-person ordering at the cart is first-class. Research shows more than half of adults 65+ don’t scan QR codes; we design with that in mind.
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA — the standard U.S. courts and the Department of Justice look to for the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). We audit with automated tooling (axe) alongside manual keyboard and screen-reader testing, and treat any conformance gap as a bug to fix.
In practice: a visible keyboard focus ring on every control, a “skip to content” link past the navigation, text and controls that meet AA contrast, our color picker rejects combinations that fail contrast, tap targets are at least 48×48 pixels, text scales to 200% without breaking layout, and the whole app stays zoomable. Screen-reader support is tested on VoiceOver (iOS) and TalkBack (Android).
If you’ve set prefers-reduced-motion in your operating system, animations across our site and in-event pages are disabled automatically.
We’re adding menu translation in seven languages — Spanish, Korean, Mandarin, Vietnamese, Tagalog, Russian, and Ukrainian — for multi-generational and multicultural weddings.
